The Team

Managing Director / Founder

With a technical background, Leon has spent his working life socially enabling communities, from developing one of the first social enabled internet dating websites, to more recently designing blog search engines for Livejournal and Wordpress. Many of these technologies are now used in the Sentiment Metrics platform.

 

Director

An experienced consultant who has also performed general management and IT director roles in diverse organisations facing change and renewal. Roger has established and managed consulting and IT organisations in Europe and the Middle East, advising government and industrial/retail organisations on their IT. Roger brings over 30 years experience to the young company that is Sentiment Metrics.

Finance Director

John qualifed as a charted accountant working for one of the big four firms of City accountants, Deloitte and Touche.  John is also one of only 600 Chartered Financial Planners in the UK, allowing him to provide solid guidance on all aspects of the company finances.

Back end Developer

Scott has been interested in technology since he had a Commodore 64 for his 5th birthday. Since then, he has completed a masters degree in computer science at Loughborough University. He is now part of our development team

Chief Strategy Officer

Jamie is an expert in Sales & Marketing strategy for hi-tech companies. Having spent the 90's working in technology publishing and advertising with clients such as Demon internet, Messagelabs and Simply Computers. Jamie started his own consulting firm and now has several interests in firms such as we7.com and Sentiment Metrics. Jamie leads sales strategy for the business and is involved on a daily basis in our efforts

Chief Technology Officer

Bryan is our lead technologist. Experienced in running development contracts in France, Holland and the UK.  Bryan designs the low level parts of Sentiment Metrics system and provides thought leadership to the technical team.
He will code in any one of 7 languages, including OS, as long as it's UNIX...

Evaluation Director

Dionne has over 12 years experience in media monitoring, evaluation and analysis and is responsible for the delivery of our mainstream and social media analysis reports.   She is also one of the chief word weavers for the blog and can spot an emerging trend in social from around the corner.

Media Analyst

Syed's background is in the social sciences, with a special interest in discourse analysis.  He has experience working in the public, private and non-profit sectors in the UK and abroad, joining Sentiment Metrics in 2011.  He produces media evaluation reports for our growing list of clients and is always interested in learning something new.

Sales Director

Having spent 10 years selling ERP solutions to FTSE 500 companies, Louise joined Sentiment Metrics in January 2010. Louise is passionate about helping businesses embrace the world of social media to effectively communicate with their customers as well as support their strategic goals. She says “Social media is new, exciting and constantly changing. I love working in an industry where there’s never a dull moment.

Director

Andrew Reid is Director for Sentiment Metrics Asia (SMA), based in Sydney, Australia. Prior to joining SMA, Andrew was Managing Director for Peer Group Media, one of Australia’s largest entertainment and digital marketing groups, as well as Managing Director for Nielsen Online. In all, Andrew has more than 17 years experience in digital media, research and data management across the Australasian region, spanning agencies, research groups and brands like Commonwealth Bank and News Corp. SMA manages clients across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.

Head of Alliances

Geri has strong Strategic Alliance experience, combined with a talent for “cutting to the chase”. Starting her career in IT Services Geri was the 6th employees for Rackspace in the UK. She has helped companies like Lexis launch their Analytics platform in the UK and has extensive experience in the social commerce/media marketplace. Geri leads our partner program.

Front end Developer /Support

Experience in diverse markets including Defence, Telecom Fraud Detection, Utilities and Finance both locally and abroad.
Previous roles include software design & implementation, consultancy, training and Technical Authoring. Naturally neat and likes software to be the same, so is often found tweaking screen layouts and tidying the code base.
