I think the title says it all for those to busy too read the full blog post! In case you are reading on though, our Social Media Monitoring Platform Sentiment Metrics now supports the monitoring of Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Norwegian, Spanish and Swedish languages .

When you set up a brand phrase, or keyword to monitor aswell as the usual AND and NOT operators there is a separate list box that allows you to select language.  We will then retrieve data for that language, of course using our demographic report, you can filter down data even further. So for example Spanish data from Spain, or Spanish data from Latin America…

French data from Canada etc…..

Recently we have been asked what the difference between our service and traditional blog or news clipping services are. So here is the answer:

Clipping services such as Cyberalerts Blogsquirrel generally just email you all the mentions of your keyword once a day. They do not do any analysis and do not provide anyway to search and group mentions. SentimentMetrics is more of a business intelligence tool.  Although you could use it just to store all mentions of your brand, it is many, many times more powerful.
You can view all mentions and sort by date, by authority of the blog, view whether the mentions are positive or negative, view the major influences of your brand and view what they are saying, see the main themes that people are discussing about your brand and much, much more.

With our advanced search, you can check the sentiment for certain days, if you have a sudden surge of bad publicity you can view what this is about, then using our advanced search, search for this theme or keyword within your brands mentions. Very quickly you can build up a story about what is going on, and being said and rapidly manage this.

This saves you many, many man hours as apposed to using traditional clipping or manually checking the press. Furthermore data isn’t just displayed as text, we show really intuitive graphs and charts, which show clear trends and patterns surrounding your brand.
